Exeter Hall


 

Exeter Hall was a hall in The Strand, London. It was erected between 1829 and 1831 for holding religious and philanthropic meetings, and torn down in 1907.

The hall could hold about 3000 people. The official opening date was March 29, 1831.

In addition to its primary function as a meeting palce, it functioned as the YMCA headquaters, and as a concert hall for the Sacred Harmonic Society.

The site where Exeter Hall used to be is today occupied by the Strand Palace Hotel.
