Every Little Thing is a Japanese pop group (J-Pop) who released their first single, Feel My Heart on August 7 1996. They are often referred to as ELT. ELT is a duo of vocalist Kaori Mochida (持田香織), born march 24 1978 and guitarist Ichiro Ito (伊藤一朗), born on november 10 1967. The keyboarder and songwriter, Mitsuru Igarashi, left the band in 2000. Kaori Mochida is considered a fashion icon, and sometimes appears in fashion magazines. She also appears in many commercials selling everything from cosmetics to cars.

Their biggest hits to date are "Time goes by" which was certified platinum 1998, and "fragile", which was released in 2001.

The songs of ELT have been used in dramas and commercials. One such commercial is "Hachimitsu Kinkan Nodoame", an advertisement for candy, in which their song "mata ashita" is used. Their hit single titled Grip! is the fourth opening theme of the popular anime series InuYasha.

Over the years, Every Little Thing has transitioned their style from synthesized pop-rock to more acoustic feeling soft rock. With the departure of producer/songwriter Igarashi, the change was solidified, and the single sure (which was the last song that Igarashi participated in) was the first song that marked the transition. Also, Kaori Mochida's vocal technique has changed to better fit the style of their music. In 2005, they released ACOUSTIC: LATTE, which contains their hit songs with acoustic arrangements.

Igarashi went on to produce another avex trax group called day after tomorrow, which was criticized for sounding too much like the early Every Little Thing.
