European Academy of Sciences and Arts
The European Academy of Sciences and Arts was created in 1985 in Salzburg, Austria by heart surgeon Dr.Felix Unger of Salzburg; the former archbishop of Vienna, Franz Cardinal König; and the political scientist and philosopher Nikolaus Lobkowicz.

The Academy currently hosts around 1,300 of Europe's top scientists and artists as members (among them fifteen Nobel laureates), who approach the questions facing Europe and the globe in various colloquia and publications.
