~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ When she was fourteen years old she sang for the first time in a band. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ After the academy she followed song training and with her 'soulful' voice, a smooth and clear mezzo-soprano, which ensures a nice headstock sound. After that time, she had a successful hit with Ain't no groin, which ended up on a number of dance-charts. She also sang on the soundtrack of the American film Faking da funk. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ She has been for years a passionate follower of the Eurovision Song Contest and when she was selected for both the British and Dutch finals for the 2003 contest her dream came true. Because of her success in the Dutch finals she withdrew from the UK finals. She represented the Netherlands and finished 13th. After the contest, she released her first album. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
