Escanaba, Michigan
Escanaba is a city located in Delta County in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 13,140. It is the county seat of Delta County6. There is also Escanaba Township, which is north of the city and is not adjacent to it, although a portion of the city's urban area extends into the township. Both are named for the Escanaba River that flows into the Little Bay de Noc of Lake Michigan just north of the city.
Geography
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 42.8 km² (16.5 mi²). 32.8 km² (12.7 mi²) of it is land and 10.0 km² (3.8 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 23.32% water.
