Encyclopędia Britannica
The Encyclopędia Britannica (properly spelt with ę, the ae-ligature) is the oldest English-language general encyclopedia, first published in 1768 as A Dictionary of Arts and Sciences. Judged by many as the foremost authority in the field, its articles are commonly considered accurate, reliable, and well-written.
