Emporia, Virginia

Emporia is an independent city located within the confines of Greensville County in Virginia. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 5,665. The Bureau of Economic Analysis combines the city of Emporia with surrounding Greensville county for statistical purposes. It is the county seat of Greensville County{{GR|6}}. It is the home of NASCAR drivers Elliott Sadler and Hermie Sadler.
