Victor Rosa is a gangster in New York who sells a specific drug blend called "Empire". He is expanding his holdings in the ghetto and decides to start investing his money. He meets Jack, a stockbroker, through a mutual friend. Jack is in fact a con artist and takes Victor's money, which Victor has borrowed from La Colombiana, a druglord who intimidates the various gangsters in the movie. Victor tries to get his money back, and kills Jack when he is unable to. La Colombiana eventually tracks down Victor and has him killed, for not making good on his debt.
