Emily Hahn

Emily Hahn (January 14, 1905 - February 18, 1997) was an American writer. She was born in St. Louis, Missouri, but moved with her family to Chicago, Illinois when she was young. Even at an early age, Hahn had a rebellious streak for her times, and she resolved to obtain a degree in mining engineering at the University of Wisconsin, even though all of her classmates and instructors were opposed to her being there.
