Emilie de Ravin

Emilie de Ravin (born December 27, 1981, Mount Eliza, Victoria, Australia), nicknamed Em, is a Australian actress who is currently starring in the American television series Lost as the character Claire Littleton. She was previously featured the TV series Beastmaster (1999-2000) and Roswell (2000-2001) and the made-for-tv version of Carrie (2002).

Emilie studied ballet since the age of nine, and at the age of fifteen she was accepted into the highly selective Australian Ballet School. She performed in productions of the Australian Ballet Company as well as Danceworld 301. Emilie studied acting at the National Institute of Dramatic Art in Australia (NIDA), and with the Prime Time Actors Studio in Los Angeles.

Emilie became engaged to actor Josh Janowicz on 1 January 2005 while they visited her family back in Australia for the holidays.
