Elton Dean


 
 

Elton Dean is a jazz saxophonist from Great Britain.

At one time in the 1960s, he was a member of the band Bluesology, fronted by Long John Baldry and also featuring a young keyboard player named Reginald Dwight, who would later achieve enormous musical success as Elton John—a name taken from Dean's and Baldry's first names.

Dean later joined the band Soft Machine.
