Ellis County, Texas
Ellis County is a county located in the state of Texas. As of 2000, the population is 111,360. Its county seat is Waxahachie6. This county is part of the Metroplex and lies just south of Dallas County. Ellis County is named for Richard Ellis, president of the convention that produced the Texas Declaration of Independence.
