In 1991 she was approached by the producers of Saturday Night Live, and began a four-year stint on SNL. Ellen?s portrayal of such characters as Zoraida- the-in-your-face NBC page, and Queen Shaniqua- the Aerocentric critic, and her impersonations of Anita Hill, Whoopi Goldberg, and singer Natalie Cole have helped her win an Emmy. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
