Elle Driver

Elle Driver is the name of a character in the 2003 Quentin Tarantino film, Kill Bill, played by Darryl Hannah. Driver is a member of an elite group of bounty hunters, the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad, led by the master assassin Bill, who eventually becomes Driver's lover.

Next to Bill, Driver is the movie's primary villain, as well as the least sympathetic character; while all of her fellow Vipers are violent and ruthless, Driver is by far the most evil of the lot, a cold, treacherous psychopath devoid of any humanity. She has an antagonistic relationship with the entire group, especially Beatrix Kiddo (aka "The Bride"), whom she hates and envies.

Driver had trained with Pai Mei, the violent and irritable Chinese martial arts master who trained both the Bride and Bill, and who plucked out her right eye after she called him a "miserable old fool." As revenge, Driver murdered him by poisoning his food.

Driver, along with the other three members of the squad, attempted to kill Kiddo at a Texas wedding chapel. After Kiddo's near-death, Driver became Bill's lover, earning the displeasure of Bill's brother Budd and leading to a strong enmity between the two. Surprisingly, Kiddo survived in a coma for four years, only to awake and return with a vengeance, killing all other members of the squad. The Bride was unable to kill Budd, however, as Driver had already killed him by planting a black mamba in a bag of money she had left for him. Driver's subsequent battle with Kiddo ended inconclusively, as she merely blinded Driver by plucking out her remaining eye. However, the fact that the blind Driver was left in Budd's dilapidated trailer with an angry black mamba makes her survival highly unlikely.
