Eligiusz Niewiadomski
Eligiusz Niewiadomski (December 1, 1869 - January 31, 1923), was a Polish modernist painter and art critic, who belonged to the right-wing, anti-Semitic National Democrat political party in renascent Poland in the early 20th century.

He shot to death Poland's first president, Gabriel Narutowicz, on December 16, 1922, at the Zach?ta Gallery in Warsaw; he was sentenced to death for murdering Narutowicz and executed at the age of 53; and was buried at Warsaw's Pow?zki Cemetery.
