Elena Reid

Elena Reid (born November 1, 1981 in Phoenix, Arizona) is a female boxer. Nicknamed "Baby Doll", Reid is currently a resident of Las Vegas, but she returns to Phoenix to do her boxing training before her bouts. Her global boxing Identification number is US-AZ-020490.

Before becoming a professional women's boxer, Reid excelled in other sports, such as kickboxing. Her women's boxing debut was highly anticipated by her fans.

On April 18, 2000, she made her professional debut, beating Jo Ellen Caldwell by a four round unanimous decision, at Scottsdale's popular hang out place, the "Midnight Rodeo". On July 16, she made her Las Vegas debut, losing for the first, and so far only, time, when she was defeated by Layla McCarter with a four round unanimous decision.

Reid got her first knockout win on August 26, defeating Jessica Elgin Combs in the first round at Las Vegas.

On her next fight, she beat future world champion, Yvonne Caples, by a four round unanimous decision at Phoenix's Celebrity Theater. She beat Glenda Leon by knockout in round one and Bertha Gonzalez by decision in four before being rematched with Caples, on January 28, 2001, at a local community park in Phoenix. This time, Caples, who had obtained more experience since their first bout, held Reid to a four round draw (tie).

Reid then beat Valerie Williams by knockout in round one on September 25, once again at the Midnight Rodeo, before drawing with Elizabeth Rodriguez over four rounds, in Laughlin, Nevada.

Reid then embarked on a seven fight win streak, which lasted from April 5, 2002, when she outpointed Monica Michel over six rounds at the Celebrity theater, to June 28, 2003, when she drew with Mariana Juarez in six rounds, also at the Celebrity theater.
