~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ El Aurians physically look similar to Humans but they can live well over 700 years. They also have an awareness beyond the normal flow of time and space and can detect changes to time even though they may not be aware of exactly what those changes were. They are considered a race of listeners and often appear very patient and wise. El Aurians may have other unknown powers. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Some El-Aurians, such as Guinan, visited Earth in the late 19th century, which suggested they were warp-capable at that time. However, if they were not warp-capable, the allocation of years of travel from El-Auria to Earth and back again may be acceptable to a long-lived species if the trip was profitable or beneficial in some way. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ The El Aurian homeworld is located in the Delta Quadrant in the El-Auria System and was assimilated by the Borg in the mid 23rd century. Very few survived and those that did were scattered throughout the galaxy. Some of the refugees eventually came to the United Federation of Planets. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
