Egypt Exploration Society
The Egypt Exploration Society (abbreviated EES) is the foremost learned society in the United Kingdom promoting the field of Egyptology.

The EES was formed in 1882, largely at the instigation of passionate amateur Egyptologists such as Amelia Edwards and concerned professionals such as Reginald Stuart Poole of the British Museum.
