Edward Clark (manufacturer)
Edward Clark (d. 1882) was a fouder of the Singer Sewing Machine Company, along with his business partner of Isaac Merritt Singer. Together they began investing in real estate in the 1870's and built the Dakota apartment house at 72nd Street and Central Park West in New York City, which was completed in 1884.

Edward was the father of Alfred Corning Clark and grandfather of Stephen Carlton Clark.
