EDS Byron Nelson Championship

The EDS Byron Nelson Championship is a golf tournament on the PGA Tour, located in or around Dallas, Texas.

This tournament began as the Texas Victory Open in 1944, with Byron Nelson as its first winner. For many years the tournament was known as the Dallas Open, then in 1968 it was renamed the Byron Nelson Golf Classic. Subsequently it has had several sponsored names, but always in conjunction with Nelson's name. It remains the only PGA Tour stop named after a professional golfer.

Since 1986 the tournament has been played at two courses, the Tournament Players Course and the Cottonwood Valley Course (the latter used for one round per player during the opening two days), both at the Four Seasons Resort and Club Las Colinas in Irving, Texas.

The tournament is usually played during May of each year.

In 2005 Tiger Woods' record streak of 142 cuts made came to an end at this tournament.
