Edom (אֱדוֹם, Standard Hebrew Edom, Tiberian Hebrew ʾĔḏ?m, Assyrian Udumi, Syriac ????), a Hebrew word meaning "red", is a name given to Esau in the Hebrew Bible, as well as to the nation that purportedly traced their ancestry to him.
