Ebensburg, Pennsylvania

Ebensburg is a borough located in Cambria County, Pennsylvania' 16 miles (26 km) west of Altoona. It is situated in the Alleghenies about 2025 feet (617 m) above sea level. Ebensburg is located in a rich bituminous coal region. In the past, saw mills, tanneries, woolen mills, a foundry, etc., operated there. The number of residents in 1900 was 1,574, and in 1910, 1,978.
