East Room


 
 

The East Room is one of the largest rooms in the White House, the home of the President of the United States. It is often used for entertaining, state dinners, and press conferences. A piano acquired during the administration of President Harry Truman is often displayed in the East Room, as are portraits of George and Martha Washington.
