Eamon Duffy
Eamon Duffy is a Professor of the History of Christianity in the University of Cambridge who specializes in 15th-17th century religious history of Britain and President of Magdalene College. His work has done much to overturn the popular image of late-mediaeval Catholicism in England as dead, and instead presents it as a vibrant cultural force. As a Roman Catholic, he generally tends to emphasise the destructive aspects of the English Reformation on the cultural life of the people.
