~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ The show starred Elliott Gould as emergency room doctor Howard Sheinfeld. His colleague Eve Sheridan was played by Marcia Strassman in the pilot, and Mary McDonnell in the regular series. The cast also included Conchata Ferrell, Jason Alexander, and George Clooney (who, ironically, later became a star of the drama ER). ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ The show itself was perhaps most noted for having a theme song deemed "catchy" and for the Filipino-American secretary's manner of stating her catchphrase "stay back of the white line." Although it's probably best known for it being confused with "ER" and having George Clooney early in his career. As trivia it might be known as Jason Alexander's first TV series. Although not his first TV appearances as he had done a couple TV movies beforehand. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
