Duke Records
Duke Records was a record label started in 1952 by David J. Mattis and Bill Fitzgerald. Don D. Robey (from Peacock Records) got control in April of 1953. They started a sub-label specialised in soul music in 1957: Back Beat Records. The Duke label was sold to ABC Dunhill Records on 23 May, 1973.
