A good fielder but light hitter, remembered for hitting only one home run in over 3300 at-bats. His career batting average was .271, about average in the league at the time, but his power was virtually non-existent and is currently a radio and television broadcaster for the Giants, and can be heard in the Electronic Arts video game "MVP Baseball 2005". His trademark home run call (usually when Barry Bonds homers) is "He hits it high...He hits it deep...It's...OUTTA HERE!"
