Du gamla, Du fria
"Du gamla, Du fria" ("Thou Ancient, Thou Free") is the unofficial national anthem of Sweden (the Swedish constitution makes no mention of a national anthem, although "Du gamla, Du fria" is widely regarded as a national anthem and used at, for example, sporting events). Lyrics by Richard Dybeck, 1844. Only the first two verses are sung. In international contexts, such as sporting events, only the first verse is played, similar to "The Star-Spangled Banner."
