Dr. Feelgood (album)
Dr. Feelgood is an album by heavy metal band Mötley Crüe, released in 1989 (see 1989 in music).
Production and marketing
Canadian producer Bob Rock provided the record with a lush, vibrant sound, applying production values which had been lacking from the band's previous releases. Rock found the process of working with Mötley Crüe difficult, describing the band as "four L.A. badasses who used to drink a bottle of wine and want to kill each other" http://www.blender.com/guide/articles.aspx?id=1475. In order to minimise conflict and allow production of the record to proceed smoothingly, Rock had each member play their parts separately.
