Double Concerto (Brahms)

The Double Concerto in A minor, Op. 102 by Johannes Brahms is a concerto for violin, cello and orchestra. It was Brahms' final work for the orchestra, most of the remaining body of his compositions being written for the piano, as lieder for voice and in chamber music. It is considered one of Brahms' greatest masterpieces. Brahms wrote it for the cellist Robert Hausmann and violinist Joseph Joachim, and it was in part a gesture of reconciliation towards the latter with whom he had not been on good relations for some time.
