Discovery Zone
Discovery Zone (or "DZ" for short) was a chain of entertainment facilities featuring elaborate indoor mazes designed for young children, including slides, climbing play structures and ball pits. The chain was founded by Ronald Matsch in 1989.

Children 3-11 years old were encouraged to have birthday parties there, the Discovery Zone existed from 1989 to 1999. In March 25-26, 1996, in Wilmington, Delaware, Discovery Zone filed for bankruptcy with debts of up to $366.2 million.

Chuck E. Cheese's parent company bought Discovery Zone in 1999, and the chain no longer exists.
