Dirty Diana
Dirty Diana was a popular hit by singer Michael Jackson and a history-making song by Jackson as it became the fifth and final song to peak at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart. The song presented a harder rock sound than the previous "Beat It" had been for Jackson in "Thriller". Instead of Eddie Van Halen, Jackson hired Billy Idol's former guitarist Steve Stevens, to back him on the track, which was a mystery for many years leading some speculations as to what Jackson was talking about in the song. Some say he was talking about his former mentor Diana Ross, whom he had had a crush on as a child and others thought he was talking about groupies. Jackson later confirmed the latter.
