Diet Coke sweetened with Splenda

Diet Coke sweetened with Splenda was introduced in May of 2005. It is based on the same formula as the original Diet Coke (the formula which also served as the basis for New Coke/Coke II), but is sweetened with a blend of sucralose (under the Splenda brand name) and acesulfame potassium. (Regular Diet Coke is sweetened with aspartame.)

This product should not be confused with Coca-Cola Zero, a version of Coca-Cola Classic sweetened with a blend of aspartame and acesulfame potassium, which was launched approximately one month later.
