Dido (singer)

Florian Cloud de Bounevialle Armstrong (born December 25, 1971 in London) is a British pop singer who performs under her nickname Dido.

• Dido's album Life for Rent features the hit single "White Flag", whose video features actor David Boreanaz, star of American TV vampire series Angel.
• The first verse of her song "Thank You" was used as the hook in Eminem's song "Stan".
• Different lines from her song "Do You Have A Little Time?" were pieced together and used as the hook in the Tupac song "Don't You Trust Me?"
• An earlier mix of the song Thank You appears on the soundtrack to the film Sliding Doors.
• Dido co-wrote the popular Britney Spears' song "I'm Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman" from the 2001 album Britney. It was also featured on the soundtrack to the 2002 film Crossroads. She "won" a Razzie Award for Worst Original Song in 2002.
• She grew up without television.
• After her appearance in the Live 8 show in London, a trivia was inserted during break; "Dido was named after an African Queen"
