Dexter is a village located in Washtenaw County, Michigan. As of the 2000 census, the village had a total population of 2,338. The village has no connection with the nearby Dexter Township, which is located to the northwest of the village.
Geography
According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 4.9 km² (1.9 mi²). None of the area is covered with water.

This village is also home to Dexter High School, whose Cross-Country team, coached by Jamie Dudash, has won three Division 2 state championships--one in 2002, 2003, and 2004. They hope to take home the title again in the 2005 season.
