Deviance
DEViANCE is an underground group which reportedly began on 1 January 1999 and is one of a number of groups which partake in the cracking of software protection and circulation of "warez" (pirated software). As is the case with almost all piracy groups, DEViANCE does not have a website; they also state that they don't need one. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ DEViANCE has received a good degree of infamy for cracking and releasing large software titles days before or hours within a retail release. A noteworthy example was the release of Unreal Tournament 2004 by DEViANCE 24 hours before Atari's official release date of 16 March 2004. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ DEViANCE also creates and releases keygens, small programs which can create valid product keys for games and other software programs. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
