Destoroyah

Destoroyah (デストロイア) is a kaiju from the 1995 film, Godzilla vs Destoroyah. He originated as a colony of Pre-Cambrian crustaceans that were awakened and mutated by the detonation of the Oxygen Destroyer, the weapon that killed Godzilla in the first Godzilla movie back in 1954. He consistantly grows in shape and size throughout the film, starting as a 8 foot crab, then into a 50 meter one and alternating to a batlike flying form, which he used both to fight Godzilla Junior. When the adult Godzilla, now slowly beginning to go under a nuclear meltdown, comes in and Destoroyah, now in his final form, a bipedal winged demon, kills the young one. The father Godzilla is enraged and fights to the death with Destoroyah, who in the end retreats when Godzilla is about to meltdown, though he is shot down by the Super X-III and destroyed, leaving Godzilla to die in near peace, though the military is shooting the melting monster with freeze missiles to keep the escaping radiation from spreading and destroying the earth which in the end revives Godzilla Jr. and mutates him up to full size.

Destoroyah had numerous powers including a micro oxygen beam and a laser horn attack. His design overall seemed reminiscent of the Aliens in the Alien movies, complete with the double jaws. Destoroyah later appeared in two of Atari's Godzilla videogames: and
