Desert rock
Desert Rock is a term given to several bands that hail from the California desert. Often labeled stoner metal, the music might also contain heavy Latin influences, repetitive drum beats, and/or elements of psychedelia. A sub-genre of desert rock is robot rock, a phrase coined by Josh Homme of Queens of the Stone Age.
