Depot channel
A depot channel is a channel on an IRC network where you can use the @find search command. Depot channels can be found on all the major IRC networks.

In the depot channel, a user can type the @find command, followed by the search string (singer and/or song title). The wildcard characters * and ? can be used in the search string. If an archive is found on a channel user's machine, the command will return a list of matches. Grabster returns a unique match list.

To request the archive, the user must type in the depot channel !nick and the archive_name.

The @nick command can also be used on the depot channel to obtain information about a user and his or her files.
