Denis of Portugal
Dinis of Portugal (in archaic Portuguese Diniz; in English Denis), the Farmer (Port. o Lavrador), sixth king of Portugal, was born in Lisbon in October 9 1261 and died in January 7 1325 in Santarém. He was the eldest son of Afonso III of Portugal by his second wife, princess Beatrice of Castile. Dinis succeeded his father in 1279.

- Constance, princess of Portugal (1285-1313), married to Ferdinand IV of Castile

- João, master of Lousã (1280-1325)
- Pedro, count of Barcelos (1287-1357)
- Afonso Sanches (1289-1329), lord of Albuquerque and rival of his half-brother Afonso IV
