Defence Intelligence Staff
The Defence Intelligence Staff is part of the United Kingdom's Ministry of Defence. The DIS is responsible for gathering and assessing intelligence concerning military threats to the UK and its allies. It was created in 1964 when the three armed services merged their intelligence organisations.
