Death on the Road (album)

Death On The Road is a live album, recorded during the hugely sucessful Dance Of Death World Tour. This manages to capture the extravagance of the maiden live experience on two disks, with a knock out setlist spanning the vast majority of Iron Maidens back album catalogue, and they dont fail to indulge in playing half of the Dance Of Death album, such as Wildest Dreams, a track which is the brother in arms with The Wicker Man (taken from maidens 2000 album Brave New World), the title track Dance Of Death, clocking in at 8 minutes, possibly the greatest title track in Iron Maidens history (bar the iconic Number Of The Beast of course!), and the 8 minutes war epic Paschendale, arguably the most important track from maiden since Fear Of The Dark, and proves that when you get Steve Harris and Adrian Smith in the same room, musical sparks of creation fly high as ever!

Death On The Road manages to make the near immaculate Rock In Rio look flawed, and just goes to show that Iron Maiden have not lost their touch at all, and god willing they will be around for many many years to come! UP THE IRONS!
