Saturday and Sunday are commonly called the weekend and are days of rest and recreation in most western cultures. The other five days are then known as weekdays. Friday and Saturday are days of rest in Muslim and Jewish countries respectively, and in the Bible, from Friday sunset to Saturday sunset is the Sabbath.
