Dawson Creek is a small city in northeastern British Columbia, Canada. It is best known as Mile "0" of the Alaska Highway. The city acts as a service center for the rural areas south of the Peace River and it is the seat of the Peace River Regional District. Its slogan claims it is The Capital of the Peace.
