David X. Cohen
David X. Cohen (born David Samuel Cohen), writer for The Simpsons, writer and executive producer for Futurama, and graduate of University of California, Berkeley studying theoretical computer science. Born and known pre-Futurama as David S(amuel). Cohen, he changed his name after joining the Writer's Guild of America as there was already "some jerk" named David S. Cohen. He chose X because it sounded "sci-fi-ish". This was fitting as Futurama was laced into a sci-fi future. He works with Matt Groening on many projects. He is credited for writing or co-writing the following Futurama episodes:
