David Schmidtz
David Schmidtz is Professor of Philosophy and joint Professor of Economics at the University of Arizona. He is author of Rational Choice and Moral Agency (Princeton), and co-author of Social Welfare and Individual Responsibility (Cambridge, a ?For & Against? book with Robert Goodin). He has published widely in many journals, including the Journal of Philosophy, Ethics, and Political Theory. As of 2004, eighteen have been (or are in the process of being) reprinted. He co-edited Environmental Ethics: What Really Matters, What Really Works (Oxford) with Elizabeth Willott. His current projects are Elements of Justice (forthcoming from Cambridge in 2006) and another on The Purpose of Moral Theory. He has lectured at over 50 universities, in 13 countries, on 6 continents.
