David Rockefeller
David Rockefeller, (b. 15 June 1915), is an American banker and the son and grandson, respectively, of oil tycoons John D. Rockefeller, Jr. and John D. Rockefeller.

He was born in New York City, graduated from Harvard in 1936, and received his Ph.D. from The University of Chicago in 1940. In 1946 he joined the staff of the Chase National Bank, which subsequently became The Chase Manhattan Bank. He was chairman of the board 1969-1981 and chief executive officer 1969-1980 of Chase Manhattan (which is now J.P. Morgan Chase & Co.). Since 1981 he has served on the bank's International Advisory Committee, along with Henry Kissinger, George P. Shultz, Bill Bradley and Rahmi Koç. While at Chase he founded the development project for the World Trade Center, which was strongly supported by his brother, New York governor Nelson Rockefeller.

He was Vice Director of the Council on Foreign Relations (1949-1985), Vice President (1950-1970), and Chairman (1970-1985), founder and Honorary Chairman of the Trilateral Commission as well as attending some of the secretive Bilderberg Group meetings.
