David Hicks (chaplain)
Chaplain Major General David Hicks (born circa 1942) is the current United States Army Chief of Chaplains. He was appointed to this position in August 2003, succeeding Gaylord Gunhus.

An ordained Presbyterian, he served as a command chaplain at the United States Army Special Forces Command (USASOC) at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. He has over 30 years of experience as an army chaplain, and in his current position, oversees over 2200 chaplains, serving in Army, United States National Guard and United States National Reserve capacities.
