David Davis
The Right Honourable David Michael Davis (born December 23, 1948) is a British politician, Conservative MP for Haltemprice and Howden and Shadow Home Secretary.
Leadership contest
He was the front runner in the Conservative leadership contest but after his speech to the 2005 Conservative Party Conference, which was viewed by the media as being poor, fell behind Ken Clarke and David Cameron. The leadership election will run from October to December of 2005.
