David Carr
David Carr (born July 21, 1979 in Bakersfield, California) is an American football player. He is the quarterback for the Houston Texans in the National Football League (NFL). After his standout career at Fresno State, Carr was the first overall pick of the 2002 NFL Draft. He, along with his wife and two children, now reside in Sugar Land, Texas. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

David's role model was Trent Dilfer, who would later win a Super Bowl ring. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ In 1993, Carr entered Stockdale High School, in Bakersfield. Two years later, as quarterback he passed for 2050 yards and 21 touchdowns. He was recruited by UCLA and the University of Washington, but chose Fresno State to fulfill his childhood dream.
